Sleep Apnea and the Benefit of the Vivos Application

What is Sleep Apnea?

Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. If you snore loudly and feel tired even after a full night’s sleep, you might have sleep apnea. The main types of sleep apnea are (a) Obstructive Sleep Apnea, the more common form, (b) Central Sleep Apnea, when your brain doesn’t send proper signals to the muscles that control breathing, and (c) Complex Sleep Apnea, also known as Treatment-Emergent Central Sleep Apnea, which occurs when someone has both conditions. Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a serious medical condition involving the ability to breathe while sleeping. OSA is usually characterized by loud snoring and interrupted sleep with periods of not breathing, which usually end in a snort.
